Samsung Galaxy Note 20 renders hint at S20-like camera housing

Just days after some early renders may have given us our first look at the Galaxy Note 20 design, some more images have surfaced that claim to better show off Samsung’s next big thing.

The new renders show a design that’s similar to last year’s Galaxy Note 10, but with a couple notable changes. The images, which are based on factory CAD drawings and were shared by xleaks7 and Pigtou, show a rectangular rear camera housing similar to the one on the Galaxy S20 series. There appear to be four cameras and a flash, though today’s report says that Samsun g is still working on the cameras so they’re not set in stone quite yet.

Around front there are slim bezels all around and a hole-punch for the selfie camera that’s centered at the top of the display. The corners of the screen on this Galaxy Note 20 may be a bit more rounded than those on the Note 10.

The buttons on the side of the Galaxy Note 20 have switched sides compared to the Note 10. They were on the left on last year’s model, but on this Note 20, they’re on the right. The S Pen appears to have changed sides, too, going from the right side of the bottom of the Note 10 to the left side of the bottom on the Note 20.

Today’s report says that the dimensions of this purported Galaxy Note 20 are 161.8 x 75.3 x 8.5 mm. To compare, the Galaxy Note 10 measures 151.0 x 71.8 x 7.9mm and the Galaxy Note 10+ is 162.3 x 77.2 x 7.9mm.

Rumors have said that the Galaxy Note 20 will have a bigger screen and a larger battery than the Galaxy Note 10, which could help explain the bigger overall size of the new model. 

As for when we might get to meet the real Galaxy Note 20, a report from The Korea Herald this week claimed that Samsung is planning to hold an event in August. It’s expected to be an online event rather than a big in-person unveiling due to the coronavirus pandemic.
