Apple AirPods Studio – Premium Headphones
These two design elements are attached by a slim strip of metal, giving AirPods Studio a slightly more retro look. But if you’re not a fan of the Sport version, Apple is understood to be working on a premium model with higher quality materials such as leather.
Another interesting tidbit is that there’s no L & R cups on AirPods Studio, according to Prosser. Instead, the premium headphones can detect which ear is which and offer a fully reversible design, meaning you can put them on whichever way suits you best.
AirPods Studio are expected to offer active noise cancelation and take on premium over-ear headphones from the likes of Bose and Sony. Prosser says the feature a USB-C port for charging but no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Unlike AirPods and AirPods Pro, Apple plans to offer AirPods Studio in more than one color. The photographed pair seem to be wearing a Space Gray finish and the ones on video are the trademark white colorway version.
In regards to pricing, earlier reports suggest Apple plans to offer them for $350 in the United States. There’s no word on when the announcement will happen, but rumors say the headphones could be made official in November.
